If you have multiple teams playing each other in a season with standings — you want the League product (Rookie / Starter / Pro). If you're running a single team or a Thursday-night pickup crew, you want the Teams & Pickup product (Team Free / Team Pro). The League product includes Team-Pro-level features for every team in the league — you don't need to buy both.
Pickup mode is designed for drop-in hockey — you have a player pool, you pick a night, you split them into balanced squads with the fair-teams auto-balancer. It's a mode on the Teams & Pickup product (Team Pro), and it's also included on the Pro league tier for leagues that also run pickup nights on the side.
Yes. Rookie is a real free product — schedules, standings, boxscores, rosters, playoff brackets, and basic chat all work. The trade-off is limits (6 teams, 25 roster) and League Vitals branding stays visible.
Every self-serve tier has a 4-month and 6-month season plan — flip the pricing toggle on the League or Team page. You pay for the months you play and pause between seasons.
League+ is for associations — town rec centers, minor hockey associations, corporate leagues — that run more than one league under a single org. It adds multi-league admin, a custom domain, a custom email sender domain, priority support, and PO-based invoicing. Typical range $1,500–$6,000+/yr.
Data is hosted in North America on managed Postgres with automatic backups. You can export rosters, schedules, and stats to CSV from every tier.
